Three curved layers build a long pointed leaf. They do not quite meet: the gaps between them run the full length of the piece, and the LED sits deep inside so you see the light as bright ribbons rather than a visible strip.
Outside the leaf the same light washes the wall and gives the shape a clean halo. Turned down low it is a night light for a landing; turned up it is enough to read a room by.
Each layer is shaped separately, then fitted so the curves flow into one another. The oil finish keeps the surface matte, which stops the wood from glaring when the light is on.
Runs from the included 12 V adaptor — no battery needed — and the warm LED dims from a soft night glow up to full brightness. If you would rather go wireless, the housing takes a standard rechargeable cell. Batteries themselves cannot be shipped by air, so buy one locally; the piece arrives with the adaptor and the battery holder fitted.

Dust with a dry, soft cloth and never spray liquid near the LED channel. Unplug the adaptor before cleaning behind the piece. Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Keep it off damp walls and out of long direct sunlight; wood moves a little with the seasons, which is normal. A light coat of furniture oil once a year keeps the colour rich.
