Two wide arcs curve towards each other like brackets, held apart by a vertical bar that carries the dial. The gap between them is deliberate: it lets the wall through and keeps a large clock feeling light.
The dial is a solid disc of oiled wood with brass markers at the quarters and fine brass hands, so nothing competes with the grain. A warm LED runs the full height behind the bar and pools around the arcs, which is when the piece is at its best — lamps low, this as the only light on the wall.
A silent sweep movement keeps it quiet enough for a bedroom, and the whole thing hangs from a single screw.
Runs from the included 12 V adaptor — no battery needed — and the warm LED dims from a soft night glow up to full brightness. If you would rather go wireless, the housing takes a standard rechargeable cell. Batteries themselves cannot be shipped by air, so buy one locally; the piece arrives with the adaptor and the battery holder fitted.

Dust with a dry, soft cloth and never spray liquid near the LED channel. Unplug the adaptor before cleaning behind the piece. Dust with a dry, soft cloth. Keep it off damp walls and out of long direct sunlight; wood moves a little with the seasons, which is normal. A light coat of furniture oil once a year keeps the colour rich.
